Four Leaf Clover {Free Crochet Pattern}

Make these four leaf clovers for St. Patrick's Day!
 Add them to your hats, scarves, hair clips, and much more!

Materials:

Abbreviations:
Yarn: You can make these with any yarn!
Hook: Use appropriate hook for your yarn, as suggested on the yarn label.
Yarn needle
Scissors

ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
st(s) = stitch(es)
Rnd(s) = round(s)

Notes:
*Extended triple crochet (etr):
Yarn over 2 times, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, ch 1, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.

Directions:

Make an adjustable ring, ch 3, do the following into adjustable ring:

Chain 4, do the following into the 1st ch:


Leaves: 2 etr*, ch 3, sl st, [ch 3, 2 etr, ch 3, sl st] 3 times.
(*see notes for etr instruction)

Stem: ch 8, (in back ridges only) hdc into the 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sc in the next, sl st in the next 3 sts, sl st into the same ch that you made the leaves in.

Tie off, pull tail from front to back of work, and weave in all tails. Leave enough tail to sew on to work.
