One Hour Bread | Cranberry Walnut

Mr. Chickadee loves the Cranberry Walnut bread from Costco, but they don't always have it. So I wanted to surprise him by making it myself using the one hour french bread recipe.

It is the perfect bread for breakfast or snack!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1  tablespoon active dry yeast
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped walnuts
3-4 cups of flour

Directions:

1. Combine the water, honey, salt and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 mins. until there is foam on the top.
2. Add the cranberries and walnuts.
3. Next, add the flour. You want your dough to be sticking to itself, not your fingers, but also not be too dry. So start with just 3 cups and keep adding flour and kneading until that happens.
4. Form the dough into a loaf shape and place on a greased cookie sheet. Cover with a towel and let sit on the counter for 20 mins. Turn the oven on to 400°F.
5. Score the top and bake for 16-20 mins.

Mr. Chickadee was very pleased!

Let me know if you try this one and how it turns out for you!!
