One Hour Bread | Garlic Parsley

I really wanted to try a couple variations of the one hour french bread and one of my chickadees loves garlic bread so this was for him.. but everyone loved it!!

It smelled amazing while baking!!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1  tablespoon active dry yeast
3 cloves of fresh garlic (press or finely chop right before adding)
2 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley
3-4 cups of flour

To brush the top:
4 tablespoons of butter
1 clove of fresh garlic (press or finely chop right before adding)
1 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley

Directions:

For the dough:
1. Combine the water, honey, salt and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 mins. until there is foam on the top.
2. Add the garlic and parsley.
3. Next, add the flour. You want your dough to be sticking to itself, not your fingers, but also not be too dry. So start with just 3 cups and keep adding flour and kneading until that happens.
4. Form the dough into a loaf and place on a greased cookie sheet. Cover with a towel and let sit on the counter for 20 mins. Turn the oven on to 400°F.

To brush the top:
5. Melt the butter with garlic and parsley, brush the top with the melted butter mixture, score the top and bake for 16-20 mins.

Let me know if you try this one and how it turns out for you!!

And I must share a photo of my very diligent helper..
Isn't she cute with her buns she made herself!!
